RFL Chair Ron Weiss Makes “The Case for Personalized Medicine” in Health Affairs Blog

Personalized medicine and genetic testing offer cost-savings and improved health care for Americans and have the potential to impact the quality and cost of health care as much as any other issue currently on the US health care reform radar. Dr. Weiss emphasized that genetic testing enables significant improvements in a range of medical conditions—from breast cancer to cardiovascular conditions—and that tailored therapy brought about by genetic testing promises fewer side-effects, cost savings, and more effective treatment.
