The full page ad ran on May 4 in the widely read Capitol hill newspaper Politico. The ad showed the significant economic savings that can come about through lab testing by citing the high costs of chronic kidney disease versus the low cost of a blood test to identify its early signs. The ad concluded, "America wants a better, more cost-effective healthcare system. Lab tests are already making that brighter future happen today."
