Ambassador Program
Objective: To recruit and train laboratory professionals to communicate the key messages of the Results for Life campaign to highlight the value of laboratory services.
Recruitment Pool: Results for Life will seek to enlist Ambassadors at national laboratory professional meetings including but not limited to the Executive War College (May 2007), AACC Expo (July 2007), and the G-2 Lab Institute (October 2007).
Volunteers will be asked to provide the following information to help facilitate their participation as Results for Life Ambassador:
- How many years have you been in the clinical laboratory field?
- What is your current title and/or position?
- Are you available to participate in a brief telephone conference RFL Ambassador training program?
- Do you have experience as a public speaker?
- Contact information.
Training: Will be done by conference call to orient the Results for Life Ambassador with key campaign messages, printed material, power point presentation, DVD, and web site. A key point of training is to emphasize the educational nature of the Results for Life program.
Ambassador Activities:
- To participate in training.
- To communicate to the Results for Life staff when, to whom, and for what purpose presentations are made.
- To speak on behalf of the Results for Life program delivering the value of laboratory services message.
- To strive to hold at least one educational session at your laboratory promoting the Results for Life campaign and message.
- To provide feedback about how well the topic was received by the audience and to provide suggestions for program improvement.
Recognition: Volunteers who complete the training program will be recognized with a certificate and be listed as an Ambassador on the Results for Life web site.
